The world of Troikah is beginning to boom industrially, technologically, and physically. All new kinds of tech and means to get around the 3 nations makes it so that our world has gotten much smaller. Ships are now able to carry much larger quantities of supplies and people as well as be able to defend themselves from the creatures of the deep. Those born uninteresting or underdeveloped can now have an edge since magic can be packaged into machines. The natural gifts of birth are no longer unobtainable but nearly within reach because of the inventive creativity of incredible individuals. This progress is all driven from war
A race to outdo and destroy one another. Guns that are able to pack magical weaponry to use against another soldier. Clocks of magical invisibility for the spies and espionage. Naval warfare improvements that deliver their soldiers to battle in great quantities and speeds to surprise enemies. Simply put, the inventions that everyone now enjoy are because of the desperate need to outdo the other kingdom. Newer is better, the old is outdated and irrelevant now. Or is it?
This is why the Ancient Artifact Archives were founded. Progress leaves things behind, maybe something far more useful than what could be created in the future. And maybe something that could immediately turn the tides simply because it already exists. And maybe this is true because it has already been proven useful.
First established by Rutger Ashem, the Ancient Artifact Archives (AAA) has done extensive research on the Land of the Racoon. An island teeming with mystery was the focus point of studies for the founding members of the AAA. Rutger’s first companion was Marguerite Scott. They studied the biology of the island and found it to be cohabitated by more than 9,000 different species with Margret believing it will take 2 more generations of researchers to uncover them all.
Howard Cart later joined Rutger and Marguerite in the studies of the ruins and excavation of what would come to be known as Cyrus. They spent a lifetime digging and researching the many different tribes and civilizations that were buried under the layers of rock, volcanic ash, and other sedimentary layers. This would eventually pave the way for the modern day capital of the Land of the Racoon. Many ruins were renovated after research concluded but Howard and Margert continue to excavate deep into the land for some hint of more to be found.
Rutger then began his work with Wolf Raeck to develop the books on the Land of the Racoon. All findings and theories were written and re-written through Wolf’s team as they began documenting not only the AAA’s findings but also the findings and discoveries of the Kingdom of the Phoenix (Wolf’s homeland) and the Kingdom of the Cameleon. Wolf continues to support and personally research many of the outer regions of the land of the Phoenix. Fumi Ikawa would later join Wolf in with their expertise in The Kingdom of the Cameleon as well as her architectural rendering team for visual drawings and stunningly accurate depictions of their findings.
Heram Bingher, whom discovered the the 3 creator temples and invented the blimp, would join as the AAA developed into a notable organization of great work. While Rutgers team were well know and gaining popularity in their circles, the team was unorganized and without structure. Heram would bring her expertise and wisdom to the team. She would find a role as the leader of the AAA until her final days. She was beloved by all and without her the AAA would have probably been lost and be collecting dust today.
The final founding member is Sir Art Evan. Knighted by the Racoon King for his Military victories and the defeat of the great ice dragon who ruled the lands of the Racoon long ago, Sir Art would join the AAA as the first Archivist. Sir Art would travel collecting lost artifacts, visiting the more dangerous parts of Troikah and bringing back all he had found and discovered. Appointing Sir Art was the first step into the establishment of the Ancient Artifact Archives for this was done in partnership with the Racoon King.
Over the past 20 years or so the Racoon King has shown increased interests in the AAA and even funded many of Sir Art’s adventures. After many successful expeditions it was made official and construction of the Antient Artifact Archives Museum began.
Now employing many researchers and scientists, the AAA is growing into the premier research facility of Troikah. Who knows what they have found or are yet to find and how it will change the world. But this was made and founded by hardworking, creative, and exemplary people. May their work continue to inspire and protect all those who have come to find home in the world of Troikah.
